Welcome to our website !

This week has been pretty similar to last week, hectic. I went to Big Night Out (BNO) this week which is a massive student event during freshers week and it's basically a massive bar crawl. I've finally started unpacking, despite being here 3 weeks already but at least I'll get it done before Christmas!

How has your week been?

I love a smokey eye look for a night out but I also love a wearable daytime look that can be done in a few minutes and I've recently realised these 3 palettes are the ones I gravitate to the most. As you can see from the photo above I've hit pan on two shades in the Soap and Glory Lid Stuff quad which was my go to palette for months. I've recently repurchased the Sleek Storm palette as I hit pan on most the shades in my last one, and repurchasing a palette is a big thing for me as I'm not usually too fussed about them. The W7 In The Buff palette is a fairly recent purchase for me but since being back at uni it's been my go to palette for night time looks. I've also heard it's a dupe for the Urban Decay Naked Palette, but since I don't own it (I know that's a massive shock since everyone and their Mother does!) I can't compare the two personally.

The thing I love most about all these palettes is that they can be used for both day time looks and nighttime looks which is brilliant. As much as I love make up I don't want to have 50 different palettes that I only use once or twice, I'd much rather have a few I love and use regularly.

I'm really behind on blogging at the moment and I apologise for that but everything is hectic right now. I've moved back into uni, freshers has started, I've already caught freshers flu four days after I moved in, I can't remember when I last went to bed before 4am and I am tired, so so tired. I'm happy though, and that's what's important right? I'm loving being back but I really need to get back into blogging as I've missed it so much but it's so difficult to sit down and find time when I'm constantly ill (read - I mean hungover so it's my own fault).

I've scheduled a beauty post for tomorrow and I've got a few more lined up so hopefully my posts will be back more frequently now.

I hope you're all well and enjoying your week.

Essie Bahama Mama - £7.99 // Barry M Raspberry - £2.99 // No7 Damson Dream - £6

I don't usually stick to the nail polish trends for each season but I do love the Autumn/Winter shades. Admittedly Essie's Bahama Mama is my go to polish all year round but it's a perfect Autumnal shade. All of these are beautiful shades that I'll be wearing this season.

This weeks post is a bit late but I've been so busy. I've finally moved back into uni and I'll start lectures again in 2 weeks but I've got freshers for 2 weeks before that which will be amazing! I'm already loving being back at uni although moving back in was stressful as I never realised how many beauty products I actually owned, oops.

I absolutely lovely Autumn and Winter but my skin can end up looking very dull which I'm obviously not such a fan of. I've chosen my top 5 drugstore products for glowing skin that I love using the colder months and I thought I'd share them with you as we're approaching Autumn now.

Revlon Photoready Skinlights - £11.99
This is a fairly recent purchase for me but I really enjoy using it. You can either mix it in with your foundation to give an all over dewy glow or you can just apply this to your cheek bones, brow bone and down the centre of your nose, the usual places you'd highlight. It is the most expensive item out of my top 5 but a little goes a very long way so it's worth the money.

Bourjois Happy Light Luminous Serum Primer - £10.99
This is perfect for the days when I'm in a rush and want to prime my skin but also look more awake all within one step! It works just like a normal primer but it brightens up my skin as well, leaving me with glowing but natural looking skin.

L'oreal Lumi Magique Primer - £9.99
I know this primer is a firm favourite for a lot of bloggers and I completely agree. This can also either be applied straight to cheekbones and everywhere else you'd highlight, or you can mix it in with your foundation or apply all over as a primer. I personally don't apply all over my face as I feel it can look a bit OTT but the other two methods work perfectly for me.

17 Instant Glow Shimmer Brick - £4.99
The 17 Instant Glow Shimmer Brick is beautiful and looks very similar to the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks but for a quarter of the price! I find it's quite easy to apply too much of this if you're not careful so a light hand is key, but it leaves a beautiful result that's achieved very quickly.

Sleek Contour Kit - £6.49
I love this contouring kit and the highlighter has recently become my go to highlighter for the perfect glowing skin. It's so easy to travel with as well as it's compact and has a mirror. It's very pigmented but luckily doesn't have huge chunks of glitter in.

Peaches and Clean is a wash off cleanser that claims to be 'purifying' and I stand by this and it quickly became one of my favourite skincare products I own. I'll be honest, this was left in my collection for a good few months before trying it properly. I bought it as I'd got into the habit of using make up wipes and moisturiser only so I bought myself this cleanser, along with micellar waters to prompt myself to look after my skin properly, I used it a few times and forgot about it.

I am so glad I've started using this every evening as my skin has improved huge amounts. I've never really had horrendous skin, but I do get quite bad hormonal break outs and this has helped a lot. I now only get a few tiny break outs on my skin when it's the time of the month and they're only noticeable to me. I've even had comments about how good my skin looks - a first for me yay! It also makes my skin feel a lot smoother and my skin isn't quite as dull as it used to be either.

I remove my make up by using one pump on this, massaging it in but avoiding my eye area as I use my Garnier 2-in-1 Eye Make Up Remover, and then I wash it off with warm water. If I've worn a lot more make up than usual I'll follow up with my Garnier Micellar Water but that step isn't necessary.

I absolutely love this cleanser and it is available in the drugstore and it's well worth the £8. I really do swear by this product for both removing my make up, and clearing up my skin.
