Welcome to our website !
When I was on holiday a few weeks ago I popped into Boots in Poole and I finally found a NYX counter! All of the Boots stores near me, don't have one and I was so upset haha! Anyway, I'm really happy that I managed to pick up a few bits and I thought I'd share them with you today.

I've finally picked up the infamous 'Cannes' Soft Matte Lip Cream that I've been wanting for ages and I'm loving it. It's perfect for an everyday 'my lips but butter' shade and I love the formula of the Soft Matte Lip Creams. The HD Concealer has really impressed me, especially with the shade range. There's 11 shades in the range, including colour correcting concealers which I'm yet to try. The concealer I picked up is in the shade 01 Porcelain and it's actually a brilliant match for someone as pale as me (NW10-13). The Tame and Frame Brow Pomade was the first brow pomade I've tried and I'm really impressed. I think it's surpassed my favourite ELF Studio Brow Kit as my go to brow product.

What are your favourite NYX products?

I only posted a big beauty haul the other day, but here I am again with another oops! My bank balance is not looking particularly healthy haha, but at least my makeup will be looking good!! So I'm doing a haul of these products today, and if you're interested in a review of any products in particular please do let me know!

Wilko Kiss Primer

I picked a few of these up last summer and I've been dying to get my hands on more since. But sadly I don't live near a Wilko and didn't want to pay the same price for postage as the products themselves haha, so when I was in Wilko the other day I had to pick these up. I reviewed these last year if you want to know more, click here.

I will start by saying Seventeen's Stay Time is my holy grail concealer and I swear by it! I really do recommend you check it out when you're next in Boots, it's honestly incredible. I have a full review here but let me tell you, it's incredible - that's all.
I haven't tried the Miracle Matte Powder or the Skin Wow Concealer, but I'm really interested to try out both.

Seventeen Skin Wow Concealer

Seventeen Concealer Swatches

Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation is finally available in the UK! I've been excited to try this as I've heard quite a lot about it from US bloggers, and I'm hoping I like it. As you can see from the swatch above, it's not as pale as Seventeen's Stay Time but I'm hoping it'll match me!

l'oreal clay to spray dry shampoo

I bought this on a whim as I was in need of a new dry shampoo and I'd heard quite a few good things about this range from other bloggers. However, after reading a few reviews online, it's quite a mixed bag and mostly bad reviews so I'll see how I get on with it!

Have you bought any new makeup products recently?

Around the time I was finishing my dissertation, I need motivation to continue and that motivation was makeup. Usually I'd say yes to a bottle of wine but as I actually had to write my dissertation I didn't fancy a hangover the next day, so instead I spent my money on makeup. And here it is, a rather large makeup haul that has been collected over the past few weeks! I will also add, the Max Factor products were in a little gift-set so I technically didn't buy them as my Mum gifted them to me, but I'm including them anyway.

The first and most exciting items I'm sharing with you are these Real Technique dupes from eBay. I remember seeing these floating around blogs/YouTube a little while ago but only bought them about a month ago. I have a full review of these on the way, but so far I'm very impressed and so glad I bought them.
I will also add, the seller I bought them from is no longer listing them so I've linked a similarly priced seller instead.

Barry M Mani Mask - £3.99 // Max Factor Glossfinity '72 Pink'ed' £5.99 // Kiko 317 - £3.90 // Kiko 389 - £3.90

Recently I've been on a nail polish spree, I tend to do this with certain products, not long ago it was primers and now it appears to be nail polish. I am absolutely loving Kiko's 317 Dark Antique Pink nail polish it's gorgeous and perfect for Spring/Summer.

Max Factor False Lash Effect 'Black Brown' £10.99 // Essence 2 in 1 Eyeliner Pen - £2.50 // Makeup Revolution Arch & Shape 'Medium' - £3.50

From top to bottom
Max Factor Stardust Pink // Kiko Almond // Essence Cool Nude

Primark Lip Liners Dark Pink - £1 each // Primark Beauty Sponges - £1.50

I have written a whole post about these Primark Lip Liner's here and I love them. I honestly reach for this particular shade everyday, and sometimes I wear it with nothing else on my lips and it's great.

Soap and Glory Orangeasm Body Spray - 75p

Finally, to finish my haul I picked up this body spray as it was in the clearance section and only 75p I couldn't resist! I love it for using whilst I'm out and about and just freshening up.

So there we have it, the items I've bought recently and I have reviews planned for some of these products already but if there's anything you'd like to see reviewed in particular please do let me know. Since photographing all of these products, I also went to France for a week with my boyfriend and I picked up a few NYX items so I'll have another haul for those in the future!

Is there anything in this post you want to try for yourself, or you already own yourself?

If you read my last post about my March Goals you'll know that I'm currently on a spending ban and living off £1.40 a day so there is no way I can splash out on new beauty products. However, before I realised my money situation was so bad I bought myself a few beauty items and I'm sharing those with you today!

I love the True Match foundation, I think this is my 4/5th bottle now and I swear by it. It provides good coverage but doesn't feel cakey on my face which is always a bonus! There's also a great shade range, I believe there's around 24 shades which is incredible for a drugstore foundation and I wear the lightest shade C1 Rose Ivory which is a near enough perfect match for me.

I was really intrigued to try the Contour Kit as I bought it before hearing anything about it or reading reviews and I'm so glad that I did. In short I have it in light-medium, I adore it and I'll be doing a full review very soon so look out for that! The last thing I picked up was another product I'd not heard of and it's the Infallible Matte Max Lipstick in the shade 'Like A Virgin' and it's a pretty pink shade, with a hint of coral. It's a really interesting concept as it has a sponge applicator but I'm really liking it.

In addition to the products above I also picked up the Dual Cleansing Oil and Toning Facial Mist from Superdrug's Vitamin E range. I also bought these on a whim (I usually read at least 2/3 reviews before buying something!!) and I'm getting along with them okay so far. I'm still getting used to using a cleansing oil to remove my makeup, but it does work quite well. I'll also be doing a full review of these in the near future.

Have you picked any new beauty products up recently?

It was my 21st birthday two weeks ago and I can't believe I'm actually 21! Anyway enough of that, I had the best few days and I am so grateful for my family, friends and boyfriend as I was completely spoilt! I really wasn't expecting any of these gifts and I'm not bragging in any way, I just love reading these posts so I thought I'd do one too.

My birthday was on Thursday, so my friends, boyfriend and I all went out on the Wednesday evening after going to Pizza Express, evening which was great fun. Our hangover breakfast of choice Thursday morning was pancakes with bacon and maple syrup from Stakk's Pancake House which was just what we needed.
I also then went home on Friday to see my family and I was welcomed by 21 banners on the front door, balloons and more banners in the house! It was so lovely to see my Mum and Dad and we went out for a delicious meal on Saturday and I've been craving that lunch ever since haha!

So, onto what I got - once again, not bragging just sharing! I am really grateful for all my gifts and how spoilt I was as I truly wasn't expecting it.

21st birthday presents, pandora bracelet, pandora charms,
I was so lucky to receive 3 Pandora charms this year, the cat charm was from my lovely friends and girls I live with at uni, they know me so well! The charms to the right of the cat were from my parents, the pig because I was born in the year of the pig and the amethyst stone because, well it's my birth stone!

pandora rings, 21st birthday presents,
I was also spoilt again by my parents with these two beautiful Pandora rings. I chose them both myself, and I really wasn't expecting my parents to be so generous, but I'm so grateful. I love these rings so much, and they really are something I'll treasure forever.

21st birthday presents, olivia burton, olivia burton watch, rose gold
My amazing boyfriend surprised me with this beautiful rose gold Olivia Burton watch. I've never really worn watches before (not since my Mr Men one I had as a child) and he said he was a little apprehensive as to whether I'd like it, well I love it. I've worn it everyday since I got it and I'm in love with it. He also gifted me a wall print that says 'You know more than you think you do' which is sat on my desk to motivate me. I was also spoilt by him buying me the UD Naked 2 palette - my first ever Naked palette and it's gorgeous!
On top of all of these gifts, he also spoilt me even more by saying we can go for a trip together anywhere in Europe and I get to choose, I was so shocked I almost cried!

21st birthday presents,
Whilst we're still on the topic of jewellery, I also got these really sweet bangles from my parents which have little motivational sayings on them.

21st birthday presents, soap and glory giftbox,
My parents also surprised me once again with the S&G huge gift box from Christmas! My Mum had been saving it for my birthday and now I have even more products to add to my ever growing S&G collection!

I was also given other presents, including a box of all my favourite things from my best friend at uni, a happiness box from one of my best friends from home, makeup and a Moonpig card from another best friend, and many more gifts too!

Have you had your birthday yet this year?!

In the past week I have accumulated 4 new primers, now although I am a sucker for primers I feel this is slightly over the top, even for me! However, 2 of them are samples and were free so you know, that makes me feel better haha!

I couldn't pass up trying the much raved about Nivea Men's Post Shave Balm. I've heard so many people say this works as well as, if not better, than high end primers and you get 100ml for around £5 which is a bargain. I've only tried this a couple of times, but keep your eyes peeled for a review! Now I was given these Benefit primers for free by a lovely girl on the Benefit counter, as they didn't have the Porefessional primer sample alone so instead I got an extra, which was kind of her!
Finally I picked up the Collection Primed & Ready Mattifying Pore Minimising Primer (wow that's a mouthful) as it's a new addition to Collection's range of primers and I chose it because of the added Witch Hazel. Similarly to the Post Shave Balm I've only tried this a few times so watch out for a review!

Have you tried any of these primers yourself?

Last weekend the boyfriend and I went to Verona for a couple of nights as a little Christmas break and it was amazing (I'll have a post up with photos soon). Whilst we were there I couldn't resist popping into Kiko as it was the first time I'd seen an actual Kiko shop, and I've never bought anything from the brand before. One thing that I really liked about the shop was that you can test nail polishes! This isn't something that's done in England, so even though it's trivial I really liked it.

Dazzling Highlighter £6.90 // Smart Liptick £3.90 // Nail Polishes £2.50

I knew I wanted to try the Dazzling Highlighter 04 Bright Rose as I'd seen it online and thought it looked similar to Clinique's Highlighting Chubby Stick, but a lot more affordable. I chose 04 Bright Rose because I thought it would suit my skin tone more than 03 Pure Gold

I couldn't resist picking up a lipstick but I was overwhelmed by the variety available so in the end I chose one of Kiko's Smart Lipsticks in 909 which is a beautiful deep red shade. The formulation of this lipstick is amazing as it's matte, but isn't drying whatsoever and feels velvet-like on the lips.

Finally, I picked up a couple of nail polishes as they were actually reduced in store so I couldn't leave without a couple. I chose 266 Ultramarine Blue which is a gorgeous blue with shimmer running through it and 493 Vino Perlato which is the perfect red for the festive season.

I'm definitely going to be buying more products from Kiko. Do you have any recommendations?

Primark Brush Cleaner - £2 // Essence Clear Lip Liner - £2 // Essence Gel Pencil Liner - £2.30 // Orly Color Blast - £2.99 // Essence Express Dry Drops

It happened again...I wondered into town with no intentions of buying anything beauty related and came home with 5 new items.

A few weeks ago I posted about a few bits I'd picked up from essence and I had to go back for more. I also had a quick look around the beauty section of TK-Maxx and bought this gorgeous Autumnal Orly nail polish for £2.99, bargain! Finally I spotted this brush cleaner in Primark and for only £2
I couldn't resist as we don't have many bargain brush cleaners in shops. I also couldn't resist a few new items from Essence including a clear lip liner, gel waterproof liner and express dry drops which really interested me.

I'm trying out all these products so expect a few reviews coming up soon!

Have you tried any of the products I've mentioned?

Recently I've been buying myself a lot of new beauty products which is not the best for my bank account but I'm really happy with my purchases.
The other week Boots had an offer on Simple products where most of them were 50% off so I couldn't resist buying a couple of items. I picked up the Simple Illuminating Radiance Cream (£3.29) and the Revitalising Eye Roll (£2.59). I also bought a few items from a blog sale and the lovely Georgie also sent me the Yu-Be Moisturising Skin Cream (£13.50)

I also popped into Boots and they were offering 2 Seventeen products for £8 so I couldn't resist picking up the Define and Conquer Contour Kit (£5.99) which I've been dying to try. I also had to pick up a backup of my all time favourite concealer (big statement, I know), the Stay Time Concealer (£4.49).
Revlon also had a 2 for £10 offer on so I couldn't resist picking up the Lash Potion Mascara (£9.99), but in the waterproof version.

In Georgie's blog sale I also bought the Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon (£7.99) in 07 Proudly Naked and once again Georgie was lovely and sent me a Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfector (£18 full size) which is gorgeous and I've been wearing a lot.
Along with the mascara, I picked up Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick (£7.99) in Rose which is quickly becoming my all time favourite pink lipstick.
Top to bottom - Bourjois Colour Boost 07 Proudly Naked, Revlon HD Rose, Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfecter

I'm really happy with all my purchases and I'll be writing full reviews of the products mentioned above when I'm back from my holiday in a couple of weeks so look out for those.

Have you purchased any new beauty items recently?

I was browsing Tesco Direct and Amazon the other day and I came across some beauty bargains that I couldn't resist buying. I only bought a few things as you can see but I'm really happy with them.
So far I'm really impressed with the Expert Face brush which I've been dying to try for a while now but I wanted to wait until I could find it on offer (stingy student over here, hi!) and for £6.25 I couldn't turn it down. I've been using it to apply the Rimmel BB Cream in the shade Very Light which is perfect for a pale gal like me who never tans! The coverage of this BB Cream really surprised me so expect a review of this very soon.

Models Own Indian Ocean swatch on nails
Models Own Indian Ocean

Finally I've been wearing Indian Ocean on my nails this week and I'm undecided on this polish. I adore the shade but it took 3 coats for this shade to appear as it is very sheer. Saying that, it's such a gorgeous colour and I remember this being raved about by almost everyone last summer so I'm going to keep trying it. For £2.50  I'm glad I picked it up.

Have you tried any of the products I've mentioned?

A few weeks ago a new makeup brand called Freedom Makeup launched their line and I was so excited to try a few things out so I headed straight to the website and bought myself a few items. Today I will be sharing with you the products I bought and first impressions of some of them too.
Overall, I am impressed with the majority of the products and I have reviews coming up very soon so keep an eye out for those if you're interested in trying anything from this brand.

Have you tried anything from Freedom Makeup yet?

 Molten Eyeliner - £1 // Sheer Lip Applause - £3

I popped into Topshop the other day with my friends with no intention of buying anything but then...I saw reduced makeup and I couldn't resist. I love all the bits from the Topshop beauty range I've tried previously so I was fairly certain I would also like these.

When I first picked this up I wasn't sure if I'd wear it as the shade is a little out of my comfort zone, but as the name suggest it is a sheer lipstick so I love it. It can be worn in the day time or evening and is so moisturising which is always a bonus.
Sadly I cannot find the link for this eyeliner online anywhere, but if you like the look of it I'm sure it's still in your local store. I picked it up since blue eyeliner is on trend this summer and since it was only £1 if I didn't like it, it won't break the bank. This liner has amazing staying power, I tried to remove it with a wipe, I then showered and eventually it came off with some Garnier Micellar Water! I am so impressed with this, and although I only wear it on my lower lash line it adds a little pop of colour.

The swatches above show how beautiful both the sheer lipstick and the eyeliner are. I'm so glad I picked them both up and I only spent a total of £4 which I think is a bargain.

Have you tried any of the Topshop makeup range? If so, what do you recommend?
