Welcome to our website !

A little while ago I picked up a new spot treatment that I'd never heard anything about and thought I'd give it a go, and I am amazed by the results. The Vichy Normaderm Hyaluspot has really wow'd me and now takes the position of my favourite spot treatment ever. Now that's a pretty big claim, but I'll tell you why.

The majority of the time I have pretty good skin, until the week before my period when my skin breaks out like mad, mainly on my chin but also on my forehead too. Vichy Normablend Hyaluspot is my new go to product to save my skin, albeit a bit of a mouthful! The tube itself is 15ml which may not sound like a lot but you only need a little bit for each breakout. So how do you use it? Well you quite simply apply a thin layer over your spot before bed and leave it on overnight. It's a clear gel and should cover the spot itself, but avoid using this around the eye area as it may cause irritation.

Overnight the gel will dry out the spot and reduce redness in 24 hours and I really do find it works for me. If I leave this gel on my skin overnight, my spot will have reduced in size, the redness has almost gone and I can cover the remaining spot in concealer and go on my way to work. This of course, can also be applied during the day if you so wish as it's a clear gel, however I don't as I'm 9/10 times wearing makeup in the day and so don't want to use this as well.

The angled tip makes it easier to apply the treatment gel onto your skin and I must stress you do only need a small amount of this product for it to work, this also means the 15ml tube will last a considerable amount of time. After about 2-3 days, my blemish will have completely disappeared and I'm left feeling happier about the appearance of my skin again.

I am so incredibly impressed with this product and I cannot recommend it enough to everyone.

Have you ever tried the Normaderm Hyaluspot treatment?

A couple of months ago I graduated from uni and I am now a working woman, yay! And since getting a job I've had my eye on quite a few things I'll be purchasing when payday finally arrives. I've had my eye on NARS Sheer Glow Foundation for so long, but I just couldn't justify the price as a student, so I'm excited to be buying this soon!

Do you have your eye on any payday treats?!

Until a few months ago I swore by Garnier's Micellar Water as my holy grail makeup remover for the past few years, however since using The Body Shop's Camomile Cleansing Butter I have changed my mind and now swear by this cleansing butter.

TBS Cleansing Butter is so easy to use, all you need is the cleansing butter and a muslin cloth to remove your makeup afterwards. I only use the smallest amount for my whole face, about a pea sized amount. I just rub it in between my fingers and then massage it all over my face, including my eyes. It's the most gentle makeup remover I've ever used on my eyes, and doesn't leave my face feeling greasy or oily afterwards which I've found with some other eye makeup removers. It melts away all my makeup so easily and quickly, including those stubborn waterproof mascaras that are a pain to remove. Another thing I love about this makeup remover is that it isn't drying, which I also find can be a result of some makeup removers.

It's really gentle on my skin and is suitable for sensitive skin, and it hasn't broken me out which is a bonus. The pot contains 90ml of product and I've only made a slight dent in it after about 3 months use as you can see. I will say though, this does leave you with the biggest and most hilarious (in my Mum and boyfriend) panda eyes, but obviously that quickly goes once you wipe a damp muslin cloth over your face. It takes me less than 5 minutes to remove all my makeup with TBS Camomile Cleansing Butter and I 100% recommend it if you haven't already tried it.

Have you tried TBS Camomile Cleansing Butter yourself?

When I was on holiday a few weeks ago I popped into Boots in Poole and I finally found a NYX counter! All of the Boots stores near me, don't have one and I was so upset haha! Anyway, I'm really happy that I managed to pick up a few bits and I thought I'd share them with you today.

I've finally picked up the infamous 'Cannes' Soft Matte Lip Cream that I've been wanting for ages and I'm loving it. It's perfect for an everyday 'my lips but butter' shade and I love the formula of the Soft Matte Lip Creams. The HD Concealer has really impressed me, especially with the shade range. There's 11 shades in the range, including colour correcting concealers which I'm yet to try. The concealer I picked up is in the shade 01 Porcelain and it's actually a brilliant match for someone as pale as me (NW10-13). The Tame and Frame Brow Pomade was the first brow pomade I've tried and I'm really impressed. I think it's surpassed my favourite ELF Studio Brow Kit as my go to brow product.

What are your favourite NYX products?

Primark PS Pro Lip Scrub - £3

A few weeks ago I wrote a blog post reviewing the Primark PS Pro Mattifying Primer which you can read here and spoiler: I love it. So I thought it was also time to review the Primark PS Pro Lip Scrub which is only £3. Now as far as lip scrubs go, I've not tried any others despite Lush having the infamous Lush Lip Scrubs but I have wanted one for a while, so I was excited to try this.

It came nicely packaged in a white box with silver writing (like on the lid) and looks quite fancy. The scrub itself also has an inside lid to stop the scrub going everywhere which is quite handy. The only downside as such to this product is that the packaging itself does feel a little cheap, but then again I guess for the price I can't complain.

Now ontop the lip scrub, it's quite a small pot and if I'm honest I thought it'd be bigger but it's lasted me a good couple of months already (I use it about once a week) as you only need a tiny bit of product. It's enriched with Vitamin E and Almond Oil so if you're not one for sweet tasting lip products, then sadly this isn't for you.

It does leave my lips feeling nourished, moisturised and most importantly free of dead skin. I found it to be a tad sickly if you apply too much, which I did first time, but after altering the amount I use I've loved it.

Overall, I am quite impressed with this little pot and I'm glad I picked it up. It's only £3 and will fit in your handbag or makeup bag without taking up too much room!

Have you tried any products from the Primark PS Pro makeup range?

I remember Primark introducing a beauty range a few years ago and to be honest I turned my nose up at it a little bit, I know bad blogger and I sound very snobby. However, I have since tried quite a few products and some have pleasantly surprised me. I'm happy to say, this mattifying primer is one of those products that's pleasantly surprised me, and works really work. I also love their £1 lip liners which I've blogged about here.

The new Primark PS Pro Makeup introduces new products, of a higher quality, and a higher price. However since it's Primark it's the higher price is still very affordable, and with this primer cashing it at only £5 you can't really complain. I chose the mattifying primer, and there is also an illuminating primer on offer which I will add, I've read a heard a few people saying they're not a fan of it.

The mattifying primer itself is a white cream primer, that has a gel consistency and provides a smooth base for foundation application. There is no scent to the primer, and it works really well on my oily T-zone and on my drier patches too. This primer definitely increases the longevity and staying power of my foundation, I wore it to my graduation ball at the weekend and my foundation still looked good at the end of the night.

I think this is a brilliant primer for everyone, whether you're on a budget or have a little more to spend. I'm really impressed and I've been wearing it for a couple of weeks straight now and I'm sure I'll be repurchasing it once I've run out.

Garnier Ultimate Blends Shampoo and Conditioner

Recently I wrote about how Garnier Ultimate Blends Strength Restorer Serum has done wonders for my split ends (read here), so today I thought it was time I reviewed the Nourishing Repairer Shampoo and Conditioner I have from the Ultimate Blends range.

The Ultimate Blends Nourishing Repairer Shampoo and Conditioner and reasonably priced at £3.89 for a 400ml bottle and Boots typically have offers on for 3 for 2 or buy one get one half price, which is even better. Previously I've not been too fussy about what shampoo and conditioner I used and just bought whatever was on offer and around £2 for a bottle but I'd happily pay full price for these products. My hair is quite long and reaches to just above my belly button and quite dry so I really need to take care of it.

Both the shampoo and conditioner have a subtle but pleasant scent and I do actually feel as if my hair is more nourished after using them. I can't say how much they've 'repaired' my hair, but my hair certainly is in better conditioner. I used this shampoo and conditioner duo in conjunction with the Garnier Ultimate Blends Strengthener Serum as previously mentioned, and the serum I only apply to the ends of my hair and you only need a couple of drops and it does the trick. The ends of my hair are definitely looking healthier and feel so much softer too.

I'm really impressed with the Nourishing Repairer Shampoo and Conditioner, and of course the Strengthener Serum. I also love how there's a few variations in the range for different hair types and I'm sure there'd be something for everyone in their vast range.

Soap and Glory Whipped Clean Shower Butter

I love so many of Soap and Glory's products, whether they're bath, body, skincare or makeup, I'm a fan of a lot of their products. So as I was going through my collection (which I've realised may be *slightly* out of hand with two whole boxes of S&G stuff) I decided to start using the Whipped Clean Shower Butter again. I don't think there was a reason as to why I stopped using this, probably because I bought something else and started using a 'new' shower gel!

I will admit that this does seem a little pricey for a shower gel, at least to me it does as I'm quite content with buying whatever shower gel is on offer for £1 at the time in Tesco. However, I personally think it's worth the price. I find some shower gels can be a little drying, especially if I've shaved my legs but with Whipped Clean this isn't the case. That'll be down to the shower butter containing over 25% moisturising oils and butter, and I can definitely tell. My skin does feel soft, moisturised and smooth after using Whipped Clean and I'm also in love with the scent, I can definitely smell the sweet vanilla but not so much the almond and pistachio but nonetheless it's lovely. I only need a small grape sized amount of this product for my whole body and it lathers up really well with a loofah, so although this is a little pricier than some shower gels, it does last for a long time and is really worth it.

What's your favourite Soap and Glory product?

I wasn't actually tagged to do this, but I found this tag on LPage Beauty's Blog and I thought I'd give it a go myself!

If you could have anyone in the world do your makeup who would it be?
I think if I had to choose anyone, it would be Charlotte Tilbury. Her products look amazing and after recently watching a video of her doing Nic from Pixiwoo's makeup, I want to experience it too haha!

Whats your makeup top tip?
I'm sure it's been said many times before, but always moisturise and apply a primer before applying makeup. I find these two little steps make such a huge difference to my makeup.

What Skincare Product could you not live without?
I'd have to say moisturiser for me. My skin can be fickle and also very dry so I definitely need moisturiser in my routine. Although, I also swear by Garnier's Micellar Water as I love that too.

What are you worst at when it comes to applying makeup?
Winged eyeliner, without a doubt. I practice constantly yet I'm still pretty rubbish at it. I love winged eyeliner but I just can't do it well myself, but I still try!

What's your biggest pet peeve about makeup?
I really can't think of one to be honest. It isn't a pet peeve as such, as everyone is entitled to wear their makeup how they want of course, but I'm not a fan of the liquid eyeliner and no mascara (and full face) look. But like I said, each to their own and I'd never tell anyone how to wear their makeup.

Whats your Guilty Pleasure Product?
Primer or highlighter. I love them both and gravitate towards these two items in makeup shops, I just can't help it. Like I said earlier I swear by primers so I do have quite a few that I've tried out over the past few years.

Whats your underdog product?
Seventeen's Stay Time Concealer. I honestly swear by this concealer and I hear barely anyone talk about it! It's only £4.49, so really affordable and it's high coverage AND there's a shade that's light enough for my super pale skin. I prefer it to Collection's Lasting Perfection Concealer and I think it's so underrated.

Whats your favourite Makeup product of 2016?
One of them for me would be Soap and Glory's Solar Powder which I've been wearing almost everyday since I bought it back in December. As well as this, I also love L'Oreal Infallible Contour Palette. Finally I'd also have to pick Kiko's Smart lipsticks as they're really affordable and have a creamy formulation too.

I'm going to tag anyone who wants to do this tag, and if you do leave a comment below and let me know as I'd love to read it.

Spectrum B02 £8.99 // Morphe B27 £7.50 // Moomooi Flat Kabuki £14 // Bdellium 957S £10.50 // Zoeva 110 Face Shape £10.50

I've been eyeing up some new makeup brushes recently, even though I only bought the Real Techniques Bold Metals Dupes (read about that haul here) but I'm still on the lookout for more affordable brushes. There's something exciting about applying makeup with new brushes, it makes me feel like a kid at Christmas! So, here are the affordable brushes I'm currently lusting over.

Have you tried any of the brushes or brands I've mentioned above?

I, like many other people, want to cover my dark circles under my eyes and so I was keen to try Essence's Say NO To Dark Circles Crayon which I mentioned in my huge beauty haul the other week. I picked this crayon up after watching RachhLoves' video on YouTube and so I was really keen to try it.

I haven't used a corrector in crayon form before but I had high hopes after Rachel comparing it to higher end correctors. It's in a twist up crayon which makes it really easy to use and the crayon itself is quite small to perfect for handbag size. But I do think it will last for a while as you don't need to use huge amounts for each application.

The crayon itself does correct the darkness under my eyes well, but it can be a little drying so I wouldn't recommend this if you have a particularly dry skin type. I'd say you definitely need to moisturise and prime before applying this as otherwise it can be a little difficult to blend. I've also tried applying this on top of my foundation, but it doesn't work as well that way and can become a little cakey.

Overall, I do really like this crayon and I will be using it up, but I'll still try other dark circle correctors in the drugstore if I come across any - mainly because I'm curious! If you're looking for a budget product to conceal your dark circles under your eyes I'd say you give this a try!

Have you ever tried any dark circle correctors?

I have two affordable lipsticks that I'm loving this month and I wanted to share them with you, as they're perfect for Spring and Summer. Both of these are budget friendly and won't break the bank. Max Factors Stardust Pink is a beautiful pale pink shade, that is moisturising and glides onto the lips beautifully. I wouldn't have usually picked this shade up when looking at it in the tube, but once swatched it's gorgeous. Kiko's Smart Lipstick in Almond is a more nude toned pink and smells incredible - you read that right, it smells just like MAC lipsticks and that's just a bonus. The lipstick itself is moisturising, pigmented and I am obsessed with it, I wish I'd bought two.

Both of these lipsticks have been worn constantly this month, and they're perfect for Spring/Summer. Kiko's Almond transitions nicely into a nighttime look for me as well, paired with a smokey eye and a not-so-subtle highlight. Both of these lipsticks are really affordable and I'm loving them at the moment.

What are your favourite lipsticks at the moment?

Fcuk Sugarscrub // Ted Baker Body Lotion // Cymex Lip Protector

I wrote a post very similar to this but regarding makeup declutter on Tuesday so if you want to read that, click here. As I mentioned then, I'm leaving uni forever in less than 2 weeks and so I've been trying to clear out as much of room as possible so I'm not taking back products that have one use left in them. Today is my shower edition as I've used up all these products this week!
I actually liked all of these products, but my favourite has to be Cymex Lip Protector, which is perfect for all year round and contains SPF15.

What products have you used up lately?

I've used the same brow products for years, Elf Studio Brow Kit. However, the other week I wanted to try something new and I'm talking about the Makeup Revolution Ultra Shape Arch & Brow.

To begin with, this is a double ended product so as you can see one end is a felt tip and the other is a pencil. I picked up the shade 'medium', but it took me a few trips to different Superdrug stores to find medium. I hadn't tried a felt tip for my eyebrows before so I was really intrigued and I wasn't sure if I liked it first, but now I really do.

I love the felt tip for filling in my brows on lazy days or the days I wear more natural makeup. It's not the most pigmented product I have to say, and it tends to dry out a little unless you store it upside down, but that doesn't bother me too much. I use little flicks to try and make it look like natural hairs in my brows and find it works really well for me.

The pencil side is the one I'll reach for on a night out or when I'm making more of an effort and I'm really quite impressed. It's really pigmented, but you do have to be careful when applying it that you don't use too much pressure or you'll suddenly have really thick and dark brows very quickly.

Top - Pencil // Bottom - Felt Tip

I find it really easy to use and definitely a bargain buy. The only downside as I previously mentioned would be that the felt tip side appears to dry out quite quickly unless you store it upside down but for the price of the product I can deal with it for sure!

What's your favourite brow product?

Yesterday afternoon I started a much needed makeup declutter and I'm feeling so much better for it. I leave uni forever in less than 2 weeks and I need to find a way to pack up 3 years worth of uni stuff and take it back home to my little box room. So with that in mind I've been tidying and decluttering these past few days.

A few note able products I love from this bunch and will repurchase are:
- Elf Studio Eyebrow Kit (this is my favourite eyebrow kit, review here)
- Seventeen Blowout Mascara
- Seventeen Stay Time Concealer (Holy grail concealer hands down, review here)

How often do you have a beauty declutter?

Around the time I was finishing my dissertation, I need motivation to continue and that motivation was makeup. Usually I'd say yes to a bottle of wine but as I actually had to write my dissertation I didn't fancy a hangover the next day, so instead I spent my money on makeup. And here it is, a rather large makeup haul that has been collected over the past few weeks! I will also add, the Max Factor products were in a little gift-set so I technically didn't buy them as my Mum gifted them to me, but I'm including them anyway.

The first and most exciting items I'm sharing with you are these Real Technique dupes from eBay. I remember seeing these floating around blogs/YouTube a little while ago but only bought them about a month ago. I have a full review of these on the way, but so far I'm very impressed and so glad I bought them.
I will also add, the seller I bought them from is no longer listing them so I've linked a similarly priced seller instead.

Barry M Mani Mask - £3.99 // Max Factor Glossfinity '72 Pink'ed' £5.99 // Kiko 317 - £3.90 // Kiko 389 - £3.90

Recently I've been on a nail polish spree, I tend to do this with certain products, not long ago it was primers and now it appears to be nail polish. I am absolutely loving Kiko's 317 Dark Antique Pink nail polish it's gorgeous and perfect for Spring/Summer.

Max Factor False Lash Effect 'Black Brown' £10.99 // Essence 2 in 1 Eyeliner Pen - £2.50 // Makeup Revolution Arch & Shape 'Medium' - £3.50

From top to bottom
Max Factor Stardust Pink // Kiko Almond // Essence Cool Nude

Primark Lip Liners Dark Pink - £1 each // Primark Beauty Sponges - £1.50

I have written a whole post about these Primark Lip Liner's here and I love them. I honestly reach for this particular shade everyday, and sometimes I wear it with nothing else on my lips and it's great.

Soap and Glory Orangeasm Body Spray - 75p

Finally, to finish my haul I picked up this body spray as it was in the clearance section and only 75p I couldn't resist! I love it for using whilst I'm out and about and just freshening up.

So there we have it, the items I've bought recently and I have reviews planned for some of these products already but if there's anything you'd like to see reviewed in particular please do let me know. Since photographing all of these products, I also went to France for a week with my boyfriend and I picked up a few NYX items so I'll have another haul for those in the future!

Is there anything in this post you want to try for yourself, or you already own yourself?

I think it's safe to say most of us find washing our makeup brushes a tedious task, but I've got a few tips for you that will make it a little less boring, and maybe even enjoyable! A little while ago I wrote about how I deep clean my brushes and you can read that here.

1 | Watch Netflix as you clean
This one is my favourite as it really does make the task seem less dull. I tend to pop on Gossip Girl or whatever I'm watching at the time and it keeps me occupied and I sort of forget I have loads of brushes left to wash!

2 | Don't wash all your brushes at once
I used to do this and be faced with a pile of 20+ brushes and sigh at the thought of washing them all. Now, I wash my brushes at separate times and that way I'm only doing 5/6 at a time and it seems a lot more manageable.

3 | Tackle the dirtiest brushes first
I find tackling the dirtiest brushes (usually foundation brushes) first gets it out the way and then I'm left with brushes that take half the time.

4 | Buy a cleaning glove
These gloves have been about for years now, I blogged about mine here in 2013 which I've been using ever since. It's just an oven glove from Amazon for under £5 and it works wonders. It speeds up the cleaning process as the glove does half the work, although yes it does look a little odd and my Mum thought I was strange for buying it, it's so worth it.

How often do you wash your makeup brushes?

 L'Oreal Infallible Matte Max Lipstick 200 Like A Virgin - £6.99

A few weeks ago I wrote this blog post about my new purchases from Boots and this was one of them. When I ordered it I'd not read any reviews about the lipstick, and I hadn't even seen anyone mentioning it so I was surprised when it arrived.

l'oreal infallible matte max lipstick,
The applicator is not what I was expecting, and it reminds me of an eyeshadow stick. I was curious as to how this would work for picking up the product. As you can see from the photo above, all of the lipstick itself is in the lid and you just dip it in the end and voila. I quite like the idea of the applicator, although it took a few uses to get used to it, purely because it's not what I expected! The shade itself isn't the shade I expected, it's a lot more bright than the swatch on the Boots website, but it's perfect for Spring.

l'oreal infallible matte max lipstick, lipstick swatch,
It's wearable for both day time and evening, without being too in your face for the day time. I've been loving wearing it to uni and going out for the day. The staying power is pretty good too, but after a few hours of chatting and drinking coffee, it does need to be touched up. It's not drying on the lips either which is great, as we all know that matte lipsticks can be.

I have enjoyed wearing this lipstick and I'm glad it's in my collection as it's my current go to everyday lipstick for Spring! I'm definitely going to pick up a few more shades I have my eyes on (001 and 006 so far are looking like the ones to try next).

Have you tried these lipsticks?
