Welcome to our website !

Sometimes you might not feel like going out on a Saturday and that's totally okay. I personally don't usually go out on Saturday night because they're more expensive than other nights in the week (thank God there are student nights with £1.50 drinks). Today I'm sharing with you a few things to do if you stay in on a Saturday night.

  1. Make a hot drink, whether it's coffee, tea or hot chocolate.
  2. Find a good film or a series you've been wanting to watch (hello Netflix my best friend).
  3. Bake some cakes, cupcakes or cookies - nothing is better than tasting your delicious bakes.
  4. Catch up on blogs and Youtube videos.
  5. Play around with a new make up look that you wouldn't necessary usually wear.
  6. Or put on a face mask and have a long, hot bath.
  7. Read that book you've been meaning to read for a few weeks
  8. Most importantly, relax

What do you do if you stay in on a Saturday?

Maybelline Color Drama - £4.99 | 140 Minimalist & 310 Berry Much

If you saw my Maybelline haul the other day you'd already know from that post that I've really liked these lipsticks from the start. I decided to opt for one nude pink and a berry shade as they're staples in my collection.

140 Minimalist | This is a perfect everyday lip colour, it's the 'my lips but better' kind of shade with a slight shimmer running through it but that isn't visible once applied.

310 Berry Much | This is a deep berry shade, as the name suggests, that is perfect for either a day or nighttime look.

There are 9 different shades to choose from so I'm sure you'd be able to find a shade that you'll like. I was a little sceptical that these lipsticks would be drying as they're very similar to a lip pencil, but they aren't drying at all as long as you apply a lip balm a little bit before. You can either wear these alone or as a base for another lip product. I find Berry Much has a longer wear time than Minimalist but I'll be sure to try other shades of the collection still.  I am so impressed with these lipsticks and they're so affordable too which is always a bonus.

Have you tried any of the Color Drama Lipsticks?

Let's be honest, we all want kissable looking lips all the time with minimal effort required. I'm sharing with you my two favourite lip products that are my absolute favourite lip balms, and the best part is they're both under £3. I've tried so many lip balms and these are the two that work best for me.

I purchased this on a whim a few months ago and if I haven't got it in my bag I really feel lost. This is the first time in my life I've almost completely finished a lip balm so I feel that really says something. The formulation is quite thick, but it sinks into your lips quickly enough and doesn't leave your lips feeling sticky.

Carmex Original | £2.69
I know there's a few different flavours of Carmex available, but my personal favourite is just the original. I've been using Carmex for years and I always seem to have a few pots or tubes lying around. The tingly sensation you get after applying this can take a little getting used to but this product really helps my lips if they're chapped and dry.

What are your favourite lip care products?

I have been quite literally dreaming about high end beauty products at the moment and I think this is due to spending a good few hours before bed reading beauty blogs and lusting over many products. I thought I'd share a few of them with you today. I'm also lusting over the whole MAC Cinderella Collection too, especially the blush.

What products have you got your eye on at the moment?

Maybelline products appear to have taken over my makeup bag in this past month, and I'm sure you've noticed I've been talking about a lot of Maybelline products. This month my base products are all Maybelline products that I've been loving recently.

This is a foundation that I've still not seen maybe bloggers talking about and I'm not sure why. This is a really lightweight foundation with light-medium build able coverage that I've been enjoying wearing recently.

I think almost every blogger and their Mum has this concealer, or has at least heard about it. I use this on blemishes and occasionally under my eyes if I'm a little more tanned as the 'light' shade is still too dark for me. It's a concealer I love that I already have a back up of.

This quickly became my go to daily primer as it smooths out my skin, prolongs the wear of my foundation and does basically everything it says on the tin. It's a silicone primer, so keep this in mind if that isn't your kind of thing.

What are your favourite base products for this month?

9/52

This week it was one of my best friends 21st birthday so we had a birthday night out and then a hangover meal at Frankie & Benny's which I was sort of disappointed with (apart from my amazing starter pictured above). I've only been at uni one day this week which is really unusual for me and this means I've spent a lot more time on blogging. I've also got a new series in mind, so keep a look out for that one! I've been feeling more positive this week so everything is back to normal which is a lovely feeling.

How has your week been?

Mothers Day is only a couple of weeks away (15th March incase you were wondering) and I have a few affordable ideas of what you may want to buy your Mum. I wanted all my suggestions to be affordable as personally, being a student means I don't have a lot of disposable income (sorry Mum).

I've found Asda has a lot of beautiful gifts, in addition to the hanging photo frame mentioned above this and this would also make lovely gifts.  I also find personalised gifts are always well received, whether it's a mug, a card or jewellery.
