Welcome to our website !
I decided to take part in the 30 Day Snap which Louise (Sprinkleofglitter) came up with and she invited all of her readers to join in, so I'm going to try and do it and stick to it.

Day #7 | Dandelions On A Sunny Morning

I got up fairly early this morning and I was pleasantly surprised to see it was sunny, so I thought I'd take my photo for today early! Nothing special as I'm still revising but I'm trying not to just post photos of my cats (which I thought was going to happen, but only once so far!)

Let me know if you're doing the 30 Day Snap too!

This is just a super quick post to say that on the MUA (Make Up Academy) blog today they announced that you can now buy FashionistA make up on the MUA website and there's currently up to 60% off! As soon as I saw this I ordered a few bits because I'd been interested in buying some FashionistA products for a while, but I'd not got round to it so I thought the best time to try products is when they're on offer!

The blushes are currently on offer for £1.65! I mean, who can say no to that?! They're still extremely affordable at their full price of £4 but £1.65 is a bargain!

Day #6 | Homemade Cold Coffee

I have a whole week before my next exam which is a nice gap (considering I had 3 days between my two exams last time) and in 11 days I'll have finished school (well, Sixth Form) forever and I'll have a super long summer!

Anyway here's the 'recipe' for homemade cold coffee:

All you need to use is:

  • Cold Water
  • Ice
  • Coffee
  • Milk
  • Sugar/Cream (I've not tried it with cream since I don't like it  but you can still use it!)
That's all you need! It's really simple, but so refreshing for summer. I don't like a lot of milk in my coffee, so my cold coffee doesn't look particularly appealing, but it tastes really nice anyway.

In my recent post about revision I mentioned I was burning a new candle I had forgotten about (Sun & Sand by Yankee Candle) and unfortunately in between revising and revision breaks I wasn't paying much attention to how my candle was burning and it started to tunnel. This meant I wasn't going to get the most out of my candle, however I soon fixed it using one simple household product - tin foil!

As you can see here, my candle wasn't in a good state before I decided to fix it.

It's really simple to do, and it works well!

  1. Cut one strip of tin foil. It doesn't need to be neat or fancy just some tin foil from your cupboard.
  2. Fold it in half and then half again if you're doing this on a sampler size candle like I am, or if you're doing this to a jar you may only need to fold it once.
  3. Then wrap it around the outside of the candle jar/candle holder tightly
  4. Finally, fold the top of the tin foil over the top of the candle jar/candle holder so it stays put

In the end your candle may look a little something like this. It doesn't look as pretty as it did originally, however this will save your candle and restore it to how it should be burning.

After a couple of hours my candle was almost perfect again, apart from one little bit of wax on the side, but it's a complete transformation compared to how it looked before.

This is the final result. I started burning it again, and it burnt well.

Using tin foil is such an easy way to fix tunneling candles, and I will admit I was skeptical beforehand but I'm glad I did it!

What's your favourite candle?

Day #5 | Revision

Today I am cramming revision for my Philosophy and Ethics exam which is at 9am tomorrow, stress! Anyway after 17th June I will be free of exams which means I'll be posting more beauty posts after then (and I have a post scheduled for tomorrow as well, so look out for that)

Day #4 | Breakfast

Even though I said I was attempting to eat healthily, I ended up having a pain au chocolat for breakfast and a latte to accompany it!

I'm a bit late at starting this due to exams and revision (which I still haven't finished) and I thought I'd try and catch up and then carry on doing it day by day from now on! I love taking photos so when I saw Louise from Sprinkleofglitter had started the 30 Day Snap I was excited to join in too. She tagged every one of her readers, so I'm going to take part!

So here are my days 1, 2 and 3 all in one post!

Day #1 | Cambridge

I visited Cambridge University (I'm not smart enough to go there, but Cambridge is beautiful) on Saturday and it's just so beautiful.

Day #2 | Frozen (or not so frozen now) fruit

I'm attempting (attempting being the key word!) to eat healthier since summer is almost here and I'm going on holiday with my friends so I want to sort my body out before I go! I usually snack on unhealthy food during revision so I'm trying to change that.

Day #3 | Sleepy Smokey

I have a feeling a lot of my photos will end up being of my baby (aka my kitten Smokey). I walked into the bathroom and he was asleep on the shower mat. He's adorable (I think anyway!)
