Welcome to our website !
The other day I saw a nail varnish stand in Primark that I hadn't ever seen before, there were so many gorgeous shades, but I only picked up this one. It was only £2.50 as well.

After applying 2 coats, it's still not completely opaque, however I do really like this. I would definitely try more shades next time I go into primark, especially if the rest of the shades are like this.

Has anyone else ever tried these Angelica nail varnishes from Primark?

On Saturday I went to Portsmouth for the day. I didn't get many photos, but here's a few.

It was such a beautiful sunset, and I spent a lot of money in the shops (oops).

Has anyone else ever been to Portsmouth?

As I mentioned a couple of weeks ago I said I was going to attempt Stoptober. On the first day I cut down 4 cigarettes with no NRT (Nicotine Replacement Therapy) which I thought was pretty good for day 1. However since then, I've not had much progress. I went to the stop smoking clinic at my doctors surgery and the nurse gave me Niquitin Mini Lozenges  and I hated these.

This is all of course, just my personal opinion. They were easy to just put in your bag as they're quite a small package, but for me they just didn't actually work. They didn't get rid of the craving, they just made me feel sick. You know those really strong mints you have that make your mouth feel hot? It felt like that as well, which was quite unpleasant.

I'm going to keep trying to find ways to quit. I've tried distracting myself when I'm craving, but it doesn't really work if I'm honest. I have to quit though, because if I do, I can have a kitten!

As you can probably tell from this post my October spending ban hasn't gone too well. However, I'm going to make an excuse and say these next couple of posts don't count as breaking my spending ban as much, because I am quitting smoking and so I treated myself. I went to visit Portsmouth Uni and so there were some shops I 'accidentally' ended up spending money in.

Anyway, I ended up buying a MAC Semi Precious Highlighter in Crystal Pink. I have wanted a MAC highlighter for a while now so when I saw in it a discount cosmetics shop, I felt I had to buy it and save myself £7. I only paid £14.50 for this highlighter, rather than £21.50 for a highlighter from the current collection.

It's such a pretty highlighter, which attracted me to it. The top swatch is from the veining section in the middle of the highlighter, and the bottom is from the outside section of the highlighter. It is a very pigmented highlighter and gives a beautiful glow once applied to the skin.

I am glad I bought this highlighter, even though I technically broke my October spending ban.

Have any of you tried the MAC highlighters?

As much as I hate to admit it, I've been struggling recently with posting recently. So I'm sorry for the lack of posts, I will try and post more soon. However until then, have some cute photos I've found on my external memory. *

I was looking after my neighbours kitten for a while, and she is adorable!

And I couldn't make a post about cats and not include my own beautiful cat (she's like my baby hahaha).

*This photo I found on tumblr and do not own it. All of the other photos are my own.
I am probably one of the worst people for having a good skincare routine. Before I go to bed I'm always too tired to cleanse, tone and moisturize and in the mornings I'm in too much of a rush to use face washes etc. However, I'll always get annoyed when I have bad skin (which is stupid since I don't help prevent it, I know!). I am going to try and get better at having a skincare routine though. So anyway I bought two new products to try on Saturday.

I should probably also say my skin type, I'd say it's combination although recently it's been 'normal' with no oily patches or dry patches, I guess it's just changing throughout the year. I do also sometimes have sensitive skin as I used to get eczema when I was little I prefer to be careful with products I'm using.

The first is this skincare product I bought and I'm not sure if you can see the same product in the background of the same photo. It may seem pointless buying the same product twice, but the one in the background belongs to my brother and he's going back to uni soon so I needed my own. I already know this product works for keeping my skin clear (apart from the occasional hormonal breakout). It's not too harsh on the skin but it does remove all dirt at the same time. It's available in Superdrug stores and online here for £2.85.

I had never actually seen this product before, but I thought I'd give it a go as I'll try most things to give me clear skin. I'm not sure if this product is being discontinued because I cannot seem to find it anywhere else online, I can only find the Clean and Clear Sensitive Cleansing Lotion which I guess will be pretty similar, but it's for sensitive skin, which is £2.89 from Superdrug.

After using this my skin felt a lot softer and it's quick which is a bonus for me. Although, one of the main downsides is that it has a very strong smell, so if you don't like strong smells this may put you off.

I'm going to try and sort myself out in October, I've recently made a post on how I'm attempting Stoptober and I'm also going to not buy anything throughout October. If I successfully do these two things, I'll save a lot of money. I'm hoping to then buy new winter clothes.

I'm only going to buy necessities, as I already have far too much make up that I don't get round to using.

This is just a basket of my current everyday make up. I always end up using the same products for a while, get bored and buy more products and repeat the process. I'm going to try and use a wider variety of products and get the most out of my 'collection'. Sometimes I feel like I buy make up just for the sake of it, and not because I need it. I'm going to try and stop doing that so I'll be able to save more money for uni!
