Welcome to our website !

The highlight of this week was eating homemade blackberry tart made by my Grandma, it was delicious! I've been keeping up with blogging everyday this week as well which I'm proud of! We've also had glorious weather in the UK and a massive storm which I somehow managed to sleep through?!

How has your week been?

Vintage Rose // Popping Pink // Perfect Plum

These lip butters caught my eye the other day in Boots which I mentioned in this haul post and I picked up Vintage Pink, as selected Collection products are currently 2 for £5 at Boots, since then I've been wearing it almost constantly. I've not seen anyone else review these or even mention them yet so here I am to tell you that I really recommend these!

There's currently 4 shades in the collection and the only one I don't own is a nude looking shade Cappuccino which my local Boots doesn't even stock. These are so moisturising as well as being creamy and have a very good coverage for a lip butter, compared to the Maybelline Baby Lips these last so much longer. I also actually prefer the formulation of these to the Revlon Lip Butters too, although Revlon do provide a better shade range. These are also a lot cheaper as they're only £2.99 which is amazing!

I am so so impressed with these and I can't get enough of Vintage Pink which is the perfect everyday shade for me, Popping Pink is a beautiful burst of colour for Summer and Perfect Plum is slightly darker but is still an everyday shade.

I know whilst I'm at work today I'll be popping into Boots to stock up on a couple more Vintage Rose lip butters to ensure I don't run out anytime soon.

Have you tried these Collection Lip Butters?

"It's a smile, it's a kiss, it's a sip of wine ... it's summertime!" - Kenny Chesney

The weather was beautiful today in England and actually has been for a few days. Today it was 30°C which is remarkable as English weather is usually awful! Today I went for coffee with my best friend and we walked around some gardens and it was so lovely to be surrounded by the beautiful scenery.

How have you been enjoying this beautiful weather?

Yesterday I blogged about how a couple of products have made painting my nails a lot easier and quicker for me so today I thought I'd share with you what's on my nails at the moment. This week I'm wearing ELF's Passion Pink which is absolutely beautiful and this photo doesn't do it justice, there's beautiful gold shimmer through this polish too. I simply applied 2 coats and my Collection Long Lasting Gel Polish in Crystal Clear over the top to increase the longevity of the polish.

What's on your nails at the moment?

I love having painted nails, but I am so inpatient about the whole process to get there. I found these two amazing products in Poundland, yep you heard me right Poundland! These two products have made having beautifully painted nails a lot easier. I'd never heard of this brand before but I'll definitely be stocking up on these products.

The Twist & Out nail varnish remover is a dupe for the Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover but a lot cheaper. It only takes a couple of seconds to remove my polish (bar glitter polish as everyone knows that's more difficult to remove!) and has made my life easier.

The Nail Drying Spray is my favourite product out of the two as I hate waiting for my nails to dry and this claims your nails are dry in 60 seconds, although I personally leave it for about 2 minutes which is still considerably quicker than waiting for them to dry normally.

Do you have any products that make your life easier when doing your nails?

This past week I've somehow accidentally (sort of) bought all of this make up and I am happy with what I've bought. My favourite products so far are: Collection Lip Butter - Vintage Rose, Maybelline Baby Skin and Revlon Skinlights.

Be sure to look out for reviews on these products but I am loving my buys but I've realised I don't need to buy make up for a little while!

Have you bought any new beauty products recently?

(From left to right)

I'm not usually one for changing up my nail polish every week with a different colour and throughout this year I've had Essie's Bahama Mama on my nails, as featured here in my NOTD post. However, now it's summer I'm more prone to changing up my nail polish and these are my 5 picks for summer. All of them are £5 or under which means they're all a total bargain!

I'm sure I'll end up buying a few more over summer but this is what I'll be sticking with at the moment.

What's your favourite summer polish?

The highlight of my week this week was having brunch in a beautiful little local tearoom with my best friend. I had the best mini English breakfast and a lovely coffee and orange juice. I then bought The Notebook (in book form) from a charity shop afterwards. It's the little things.

I hope you've all enjoyed your week!

I'm not sure if I've mentioned it before but I love cats, I realise I may end up sounding like a crazy cat lady but I'm okay with that now haha! I thought I'd do the Fury Friend tag for you all today so I hope you enjoy!

1) What's your pets name?
I'll just put this out there now, I have 2 cats and 2 guinea pigs but this post will be about the pet I've had the longest - my cat who's called Lucky.

2) What kind of pet and what breed?
Lucky is my cat and she's a tortoiseshell cat.

3) How long have you had your pet friend?
I got Lucky when I was only 5 which means I've had her for 14 years!

4) How did you get your pet friend?
We adopted Lucky from a local RSPCA centre. It was actually my mum who chose her from the centre, and my mum picked her because she was told that Lucky would be put down soon and that my Mum should choose a different cat! It's so upsetting to know that if we hadn't adopted her, she would have been put down. The reason for this is because she had been in an accident where her leg was caught in another animal trap and she was so frightened and quite angry at everyone, but this just made Mum choose her for us. Soon enough she became loving and cuddly and caring to us once she knew we wouldn't hurt her!

5) How old is your pet?
She was 15 years old in January so technically she's 15 and a half!

6) What are some quirky things about your pets personality?
She'll always try to drink my coffee (I never let her don't worry!) and she appears to love marmite, yep you read that correctly! I left a couple of twiglets in a bowl once and she started licking them and she's done the same to my marmite on toast!

7) What does your relationship with your pet mean to you?
Sometimes I may refer to her as 'my baby' so basically she means the world to me and I'm a little too obsessed with my cats. They're all I'll talk about sometimes!

8) What are some of your favourite past times with your pet?
I love just sitting and cuddling her and kissing her on her head. Simple, yet so cute.

9) What are the nicknames you call your pet?
Lully, Lully Loo, Lully baby, my baby and Luck (I sound mad I know!)

These are both of my cats in the same photo. Smokey on the left and Lucky on the right.

Do you have any pets?

I purchased this a few weeks after reading a fair amount of reviews on it and most people seemed to love it so I thought I'd give it a go. Previously I've not really used a specific eye make up remover however, I know I will definitely be repurchasing this one next week. In all honesty, I was attracted to this product to begin with because you shake it up and it reminds me of mouthwashes I always used to shake up when I was in Boots haha!

You only need a few drops of this (I mean only a few drops) on a cotton pad, hold it on your eyes for about 15-20 seconds and then wipe your eye make up away. This removes the most stubborn waterproof mascara from my lashes without pulling any of my lashes out in the process, yay! I've also had no problem with irritation and this is quite surprising for me considering I have sensitive eyes due to daily contact lenses and just generally sensitive eyes.

The only 'negative' thing I have to say about this is that I find it does leave an oily residue for about a minute after I've used it, which is something it claims it doesn't do. However, it disappears very quickly and isn't a real issue.

P.S. This is also on offer at Boots for only £2.33 at the moment!

Have you tried any amazing drugstore make up removers you'd recommend to me?

Recently I've made a few little changes to my blog and I thought I'd share them with you. I'm still not 100% happy with my blog layout, but I'm getting there!

Disqus
I've installed Disqus on my blog and I'm so glad I did. It makes commenting for all of you so much easier and it's easier for you to see when I reply to your comments (which I always do!). It's such a small element to change but it makes such a difference.

New blog header
I'd been unhappy with my blog header for a while so I changed it and made a new one! I'm a lot happier with this and even though it's simple I really like it.

About me and Disclaimer
I've been meaning to add these 2 pages to my blog for a while but it's something I never seemed to get round to. I decided it was about time I had both of these on my blog and I hope they're helpful for you to learn a little more about me!

Until recently I've not been a fan of lipsticks but I've picked a few up the past couple of weeks so I thought I'd share them with you. I'm most excited about trying the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick as everyone seems to love them. I'm wearing it right now and it's a lot more pink on my lips than it appears in the photo, and so far I'm a massive fan of it! I've been eating and drinking and it looks just like it did when I applied it.

I bought Rimmel's Vintage Pink because I've heard Anna Saccone mention it, but I didn't realise how purple it would look on my lips but I still like it!

Have you bought any new lip products recently? If so, what did you buy?

26/52

Last week was one of the most exciting weeks this year. I got my first house with my best friends at uni, I am so excited for what's to come and I love my new room. Although it looks blank and not pretty here, I'm determined to make it my own little place filled with fairy lights, pretty bedding and cute ornaments.

I hope your week was as good as mine!

We're now in July and for once England is having nice weather (at least whilst I'm writing up this post we do!) which means skirts, dressers, shorts basically our legs are on show more! I'm a pale girl, I mean I'll walk into Boots to buy a foundation, concealer or powder and automatically look at the palest shade in the collection and see if it's pale enough, so fake tanning for me is a must! Everyone knows how damaging sun beds are and I couldn't ever bring myself to go into one due to the small space, so faking it is best!

I bought the Garnier Summer Body Moisturising Lotion whilst it was on offer at Boots, however it's only £5.10 which is still a reasonable price. I've tried other gradual moisturisers in the past and this is by far my favourite I've tried. I simply exfoliate and moisturise before applying, however you can apply this without moisturising as it is a moisturising lotion! I apply this at night and when I wake up I look like I've been abroad but I've really just been asleep. This sinks in very quickly, within 5 minutes which is amazing because we all have things to do and walking around naked for 30 minutes not being able to do much is hassle!

We all know that fake tan typically has that biscuit smell, but with this one I find it's not as offensive because it has extracts of Apricot which is a refreshing scent. I also haven't had any problems with streaks after applying this as I just use a fake tanning mitt and I avoid orange hands!

Overall, I love this product and it's my go to fake tanning product this summer.

What's your favourite method for tanning? Do you prefer a real tan or faking it?

I'll start out by saying I absolutely love this primer and I'm so glad I bought this primer! I purchased this when it was included in a 3 for 2 offer at Boots.

It's really lightweight and sinks into my skin quickly which speeds up my make up routine. I can't fault the packaging as it has a pump and it's pretty packaging and the actual product is pink, what more could I want?! Obviously the actual product is what's important and I love that too. I have quite sensitive skin and I've not had any breakouts from this product, it has a light scent but it's nothing offensive. Most importantly it does prolong the longevity of my foundation and it does brighten my skin as well and I only use one pump everyday.

I would definitely repurchase this and I'm also interested in trying the Happy Light Matte Serum Primer as well.

What's your favourite drugstore primer?

I finished my first year of university a couple of months ago so I've learnt a few money saving tips along the way and I thought I'd share them with you. I'm also creating a University Series so look for more posts coming up soon!

Anyway, today I'm sharing my favourite student discount websites with you and how to get the best discounts as a student.

Amazon Student
Amazon Student is definitely one of the best things you can take advantage of as a student. Amazon Student basically gives you a 6 months free trial of Amazon Prime, which is free next day delivery on millions of items listed on Amazon (it will say Prime next to the price of the product).
All you need to sign up is your .ac.uk email account and then follow the steps, it's so easy to do! However, do be aware that if you don't cancel your membership before the 6 months is up, you will be charged £39 for another year of Amazon Student - although £39 is still 50% off the regular price!

NUS Extra Card
An NUS Extra card gives you discount in over 160 shops, including 10% off in Superdrug, Co-op, Megabus, Missguided and so many other places. The card itself is £12 for a year and so you will instantly save the money you spent on the card.

UNiDAYS
I found out about UNiDays after I'd moved into halls and I'm so glad I did. It gives you discount codes for online stores and emails you about their latest discounts available, and the best thing is it's free to sign up. You can also down their app for iPhone and Android which means you can use some discount codes in store.

Photobox
Photobox isn't exactly a discount deal just for students, however I have been using Photobox for years but even more so when I became a uni student. When you move into your room it can look bare and not cosy and home like at all, so printing off some photos to make settling in easier helps. Photobox will give you 40 free prints when you sign up and you only have to pay for postage which is only about £3 if I remember correctly. If you refer a friend they also get the free prints for joining and Photobox give you some more free prints when the friend you referred makes their first order. It's a win/win situation for everyone!

Do you have any more discount deals available for students?

I've had a very chilled week this week, and I've really enjoyed it! I've finished my 5 week stint of working 6 days a week so relaxing has been much needed and very much appreciated! I've been spending time planning blog posts so look out for those!

I hope you've all enjoyed your week.

I was browsing online for some new summer clothes and I ended up loving a lot of things on Missguided and I also got 10% off because of student discount. I love how cheap Missguided clothes are and I got free next day delivery for spending over £40 which is even better!
I find the sizing for Misguided to be spot on and I don't have to size up or down which makes life easier, as you know to just go for your normal size.
I really would recommend looking at their website if you're looking for a few new items in your wardrobe this summer.

P.S. I also never realised how hard it is to photograph clothes, so this is the best I could do with awkward lighting!

Have you bought any new summer clothes recently?

This week has been an even better week than normal because my best friends came back from uni! It's so nice to see them in person and not just over Skype. We went for coffee and watched Harry Potter, went to the pub and just spent time together which was nice.

I hope you've all had a good week!

I thought today I'd share my favourite blogs with you since I love reading blogs like this from other bloggers and finding new reads! Just to clarify, these are in no particular order!

Water Painted Dreams // Hayley
Hayley's blog has a real variety of posts and she doesn't just stick to beauty, which I love. There's definitely a post that everyone will enjoy reading on Hayley's blog.

Affordable Treats // Louise
I found Louise's blog through one of her stationery hauls before I went to uni and I was trying to find cute stationery to buy and the quality of her posts and photos has kept me reading for this past year!

Essie Button // Essie
I'm sure all of you have either seen Essie's youtube or blog, but I love it. The layout, the content, the photos, everything! I check it regularly and I love all of her posts.

Sailor Jennie // Jennie
I just adore Jennie's blog, and she's a lovely person too. Although we've only ever spoken through comments, she is really supportive of my blog and she always replies to comments on her blog too which I really like. Her photos are beautiful and her posts are well thought out, her blog is a firm favourite.

Behind These Closed Eyes // Kirsty
I was drawn into Kirsty's blog by her amazing photos, which are so clear and aesthetically pleasing. I also love her reviews as they're always so honest and helpful.

Searching For Tomorrow // Kitty & Nathan
Last but not least is Kitty and Nathan's blog which leaves me speechless every time. The photos are absolutely phenominal and I urge you to check it out and admire the photos.

All of these blogs are lovely and I really encourage you to check them out and have a read! These are by no means the only blogs I read, however these are the ones I check most regularly at the moment!

What are your favourite reads?
