Welcome to our website !

The other day I posted a small Kiko haul (which you can read here) in which I featured a new nail polish that's perfect for the festive season. I thought this colour was perfect for the festive season as it's a glittery red and I'm loving it. I find my nail varnish always chips no matter what I do but after wearing this for 3 days I only have a few tiny chips so I'm pretty impressed. I definitely need to buy more of these as they're great and there's over 150 shades to choose from!

Last Christmas my brother bought me the Sensationail Gel Starter Kit and I have been loving it since day one. I do however still need to review the set fully as I've just not got round to it (bad blogger alert!!) but today I'm sharing with you a nail polish I've been loving.

I will start out by saying that I borrowed this polish from a friend at work, but I had been looking at them on Amazon a while ago as they're only around £5.50 which is a bargain compared to the Sensationail polishes which are £15 each.

The polish changes when the temperature changes so it's the same concept as mood rings which I used to love. I feel like I have 2 nail polishes for the price of one and I love it. When your fingers are warm the polish is blue and when you're cold the polish turns this beautiful purple pictured above.

The polish lasted for 8-9 days before it started to chip which I am really impressed with considering the price difference between this polish and the Sensationail polishes. My nails usually chip within an hour or so of me applying a 'normal' non-gel polish so I am loving gel polish nails at the moment.

I also love how the polish reminds me of galaxy nails when it's transitioning between the shades. I will definitely be buying more of the Bluesky polishes when I can as there are so many shades available on Amazon and they're reasonably priced.

Have you ever tried a colour changing nail polish?

Last week I blogged about my top 5 lipsticks for Spring and I thought today I'd share with you my favourite nail polishes. I will admit, usually I only wear a burgundy or red polish throughout the whole year and ignore spring trends but this year it's been different. I've been wearing more colour polishes and I'm loving it. Barry M's Strawberry Ice Cream was a favourite of mine when I was in secondary school and I fell in love with it again. The only downside is because it's a pastel shade it does require a good 2 or 3 coats. Next up is the polish that I'm wearing right now, Rimmel's Rose Libertine. It's just a perfect coral pink shade that just looks so feminine and beautiful. It dries super quick too which is always an added bonus.
MUA's U Rock is a shade that unfortunately isn't available anymore but a lilac shade is perfect for Spring. It just brightens up any look and isn't too overpowering. My final pick is from Miss Sporty's Clubbing Colours range. Green Lemmon 330 is a gorgeous shade and it has a wide brush which makes application so much faster.

What are your favourite nail polishes for Spring?

Yesterday I blogged about how a couple of products have made painting my nails a lot easier and quicker for me so today I thought I'd share with you what's on my nails at the moment. This week I'm wearing ELF's Passion Pink which is absolutely beautiful and this photo doesn't do it justice, there's beautiful gold shimmer through this polish too. I simply applied 2 coats and my Collection Long Lasting Gel Polish in Crystal Clear over the top to increase the longevity of the polish.

What's on your nails at the moment?

I love having painted nails, but I am so inpatient about the whole process to get there. I found these two amazing products in Poundland, yep you heard me right Poundland! These two products have made having beautifully painted nails a lot easier. I'd never heard of this brand before but I'll definitely be stocking up on these products.

The Twist & Out nail varnish remover is a dupe for the Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover but a lot cheaper. It only takes a couple of seconds to remove my polish (bar glitter polish as everyone knows that's more difficult to remove!) and has made my life easier.

The Nail Drying Spray is my favourite product out of the two as I hate waiting for my nails to dry and this claims your nails are dry in 60 seconds, although I personally leave it for about 2 minutes which is still considerably quicker than waiting for them to dry normally.

Do you have any products that make your life easier when doing your nails?

(From left to right)

I'm not usually one for changing up my nail polish every week with a different colour and throughout this year I've had Essie's Bahama Mama on my nails, as featured here in my NOTD post. However, now it's summer I'm more prone to changing up my nail polish and these are my 5 picks for summer. All of them are £5 or under which means they're all a total bargain!

I'm sure I'll end up buying a few more over summer but this is what I'll be sticking with at the moment.

What's your favourite summer polish?

I'd never tried Max Factor nail polishes, until my friend got me some for my birthday. I am absolutely in love with this one which is Cloudy Blue. It's one of the mini polishes, but I'll definitely re-purchase it. It's available in Boots for £3.99.

It's easy to apply (even though I'm rubbish at painting my nails) and it dries fairly quickly too which is a bonus since I hate waiting around for my nails to dry. If you apply two coats and a top coat, it lasts for about a week (well it did on me anyway, I know nail polish lasts differently on everyone).

Has anyone else tried Max Factor nail polishes?

So i was bored of just having plain nails and i'd seen a couple of people do their nails sort of similar to this so i thought i'd give it a go :)

this is what my nails look like :) i'm not the best at painting nails but oh well!

these are the nail varnishs that i used. left to right:
barry m - strawberry ice cream
