Vintage Rose // Popping Pink // Perfect Plum

These lip butters caught my eye the other day in Boots which I mentioned in this haul post and I picked up Vintage Pink, as selected Collection products are currently 2 for £5 at Boots, since then I've been wearing it almost constantly. I've not seen anyone else review these or even mention them yet so here I am to tell you that I really recommend these!

There's currently 4 shades in the collection and the only one I don't own is a nude looking shade Cappuccino which my local Boots doesn't even stock. These are so moisturising as well as being creamy and have a very good coverage for a lip butter, compared to the Maybelline Baby Lips these last so much longer. I also actually prefer the formulation of these to the Revlon Lip Butters too, although Revlon do provide a better shade range. These are also a lot cheaper as they're only £2.99 which is amazing!

I am so so impressed with these and I can't get enough of Vintage Pink which is the perfect everyday shade for me, Popping Pink is a beautiful burst of colour for Summer and Perfect Plum is slightly darker but is still an everyday shade.

I know whilst I'm at work today I'll be popping into Boots to stock up on a couple more Vintage Rose lip butters to ensure I don't run out anytime soon.

Have you tried these Collection Lip Butters?

At the beginning of the year I blogged about Revlon Lip Products I bought. One of the products I've been reaching for recently is the Lip Butter I bought in Stawberry Shortcake. They're currently £7.99 in Boots, however I did buy mine for £5 because like I've said a few times I hadn't previously been too fond of lip products. Saying that, I do really like this lip butter.

This swatch is after only applying it lightly however you'll see in the photo below it is very build-able.

The difference between the two swatches is quite noticeable but like I said it's build-able which I love.

First of all I love the packaging and how it has a quilted looking design on the lipstick lid. There is also quite a large range of shades available so I'll definitely look into buying more when I next go to Boots. The first thing I noticed when I applied this for the first time was how moisturizing it is, which is why it's so quick and easy to apply. You don't need to worry about using a mirror to make sure you don't get it all over your face which is always a bonus if you're in a rush! The only 'downside' to this is that because it's so moisturizing it gets used quite quickly (I took all of these photos the day I bought it so you could see what it looks like before it's used).

As you can see from the swatches the colour is easy to build up to a brighter pink, but if applied lightly is just a slight bit of colour added to your lips so you can adapt how you apply it to suit the occasion. I've been using this a lot recently because it's just a lovely everyday wearable colour. I'd definitely recommend you'd try these if you haven't already!
