How much is my face worth?
I saw that Abbie did a 'how much is your face worth' post and thought it'd be interesting to do one for myself. Looking at the photos, it appears I use a lot more make up than I thought! I've split it into sections so it was easier to organise.
| Rimmel Fix and Perfect Primer | - £6.99
I've mentioned this a couple of times before and I've done a blog post on it as well. It has to be my favourite primer. It doesn't break me out, it's a reasonable price and it smooths out my skin and makes applying my foundation and concealer a lot easier.
This is my go to foundation, I love it. Even though in this photo it looks a lot darker than the concealer it does blend out well. I have the older packaging but I'm assuming it's still the same formulation, but I could be wrong. It gives a medium coverage and has an SPF of 15 which is always useful.
I have recently re-purchased this concealer which is unusual for me as I usually just try something new, but I love this concealer. As you can see I've only just started using the new one as all of the writing is still on. It gives a medium to full coverage, doesn't crease under the eyes and if you dab it on over any large pores it makes them less visible.
I absolutely adore this powder for setting my foundation. I know £21 is a lot to spend on a setting powder, but unfortunately the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder broke me out. However the MAC MSF Natural works perfectly for me, setting my foundation but leaving it still looking a little dewy looking.
I've mentioned before how much I love the ELF eyebrow kit as it's so cheap and my eyebrows stay in place all day. I mainly use the wax side and tend to ignore the powder just out of preference.
| Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer ~ Shade 52 | - £6.99
Once again I've done a separate blog post on this bronzer but overall I love it. It does have a tiny bit of shimmer but it's not visible at all once applied, and it's barely visible in the pan to be honest. It's not too orange for my skin which is perfect.
I only bought this highlighter recently but after mentioning in this blog post I've used it everyday. It gives a beautiful glow to the skin, although you do have to be careful and not be too heavy handed otherwise it can look over the top.
I switch between blushers pretty regularly but for the past few days I have been using this Rimmel blush. It just gives a bit of colour to my cheeks but looks so natural at the same time.
| Maybelline One By One Volum' Mascara ~ Black | Around £7.99
It appears Boots aren't selling this mascara anymore but it's on the Maybelline website so I'm assuming it's not discontinued. I've estimated it was around £7.99 as that's the price of the other Maybelline mascaras. I love this mascara because I never have any issues with clumping and it opens up my eyes.
I've only recently started using this mascara but I love it. It definitely does lengthen and define my lashes and I apply this after I have applied my Maybelline One by One. It may sound odd but I like that the packaging isn't the usual rounded shape of mascara, just makes it a little different.
I've never seen anyone else mention this eyeliner, but I am in love with it. I have re-purchased it a couple of times and I will need to buy a new one soon (as you can see from the destroyed packaging). It has a medium sized tip which makes application so easy and it stays on all day with no creasing. I cannot recommend this enough.
So the overall total is £82.17 which I don't think is too bad considering I have the MAC MSF Natural in there, and if I didn't it'd be a lot cheaper!

I am in love with maybelline's one by one mascara! I add that mascara on last when I mix to separate my lashes when they clump. This mascara is a god sent!
ReplyDeletehonestly if I had to go out and buy what I use on my face in one sitting I'd cry. Everything I bought was bought in such small chunks you just don't how much you actually spend on makeup.
This is such a good idea for a post! I might try it myself although it might shock me to see how much my make-up is actually worth when added up together!
