My Weekend In Pictures

I've had a really lovely weekend so I thought I'd share a few photos with you.

1 // My boyfriend and I found a cute little cafe in town called La Vita Caffe and I had the biggest and delicious breakfast. Best way to start a Saturday in my opinion.

2 // We went for a walk around the common and it was really pretty and a nice way to spend some of our Sunday free noon.

3 // I don't think you can read it properly but it says 'Titanic - the new version'

4 // Shrimp and Burger is amazing, that's all I have to say. I had the Louisana without cheese this time (I usually have a chicken bun) and it was so tasty.

5 // Coffee with the cute cafe mentioned previously.

6 // And again another snap from the cue cafe that it appears I'm a little obsessed with haha!

What did you get up to this weekend?

Ways I Save Money On Beauty Products

I'm always on the look out for a bargain and I've found a few ways to save money on beauty products and today I'm sharing those with you. I find that if you look around a little you can find such good bargains in Poundland and Primark and I'm all for that.

Poundland
- Deodorant
- Shower gel
- Shampoo & Conditioner - I even found Lee Stafford shampoo and conditioner in my local shop the other day!
- Nail Varnish Remover
- Cotton Buds
- Toothpaste

Primark
- Cotton pads - (they're only 50p a pack!)
- Tweezers
- Eyelash Curlers
- False Eyelashes
- False Nails

I will add, with the beauty products I buy from Poundland, they are all brands such as Colgate, Dove, Simple and Nivea etc. This is why they're such a bargain as you could find the same products in Boots, Superdrug or Tesco but Poundland is a fraction of the price.

What beauty products do you save money on?

Maybelline The Rocket Mascara | Review

I love mascara as I feel it's the one product that really changes how I look. I remember quite some time ago there was a lot of hype around Maybelline's The Rocket Mascara but I only started using it in December when I mentioned it in my December Makeup Mixup. I've loved it ever since.

I've been really impressed with the volume that this gives my lashes, as well as lengthening them at the same time. I can't fault the formula as it lasts on my lashes all day without flaking or smudging. As you can see from the photo above, the brush is quite big and plastic, but I'm not particularly fussy when it comes to mascara wands. The bristles vary in length which I think enables the wand to get to all of the lashes and coat them.

Overall, I've been loving this mascara and I actually quite like how the packaging stands out in my makeup bag and brightens it up.

Have you ever tried The Rocket Mascara, or any other Maybelline mascaras?

eBay Wishlist | January

RT Dupe Brushes £6.27 // Copper Lanterns £9.95 // Phone Case £2.99

I love browsing eBay for some bargains and I've found a few this week that I wanted to share with you. The find I was happiest about was the RT Dupes, they look great and they're such a bargain, I wanted to try the Bold Metals collection but I can't justify around £15-20 per brush. However, this set of 7 is under £7 and I'll definitely be trying them out myself.

Have you found any eBay bargains recently?

Inspiring Quotes #3

I haven't written one of these inspiring quotes posts for quite some time (you can read my last one here) so I thought it was about time I did another and hopefully these will brighten your Monday morning a little.

"People need to be encouraged. People need to be reminded of how wonderful they are. People need to be believed in—told that they are brave and smart and capable of accomplishing all the dreams they dream and more. Remind each other of this." Stacey Jean Speer

"Become friends with people who aren’t your age. Hang out with people whose first language isn’t the same as yours. Get to know someone who doesn’t come from your social class. This is how you see the world. This is how you grow." - Unknown

"Have the courage to be exactly who you are without apology." - Unknown

"Not everyone will understand your journey. That’s okay. You’re here to live your life, not to make everyone understand." - Banksy

"Wing your eyeliner. Paint your nails black. Chin up. You got this. You fucking own this." - Unknown

I think the last quote is my favourite and I always think of it when I'm feeling down! I hope you've enjoyed reading these.

Do you have a favourite quote?

What I'm Currently Watching On Netflix

I think we're all partial to spending a few hours procrastinating and watching Netflix so today I'm sharing with you what I've been watching recently.

Luther
Luther Series 4 has recently started on TV again and I've loved the few episodes I've been watching so I thought it was time I caught up on the previous series. It's so gripping and is about a police officer and the cases that follow.

Jane the Virgin
I've only just started watching this series in the past few days but I'm hooked so far. It's full of drama following a woman called Jane who, as the title suggests, is a virgin. But there's a lot more to it than just that.

It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia
This is a light hearted series following a group of friends who are always up to no good and pranks that go terribly wrong. It's really easy to watch and I sometimes just pop it on in the background whilst I'm doing some reading for uni.

Nurse Jackie
Netflix has recently added a few more series of Nurse Jackie which made me really happy as I'd watched all the others but then Netflix removed it?! However, it's finally back and I love it. Anyway it's about a nurse called Jackie who's addicted to prescription medication and the battles she faces whilst trying to keep her job and family whilst under the influence.

Pretty Little Liars
I'm only on series 1 but after everyone raving about it and saying how amazing it was, I knew I had to try it. It's gripping and I want to find out who 'A' is already!

Making A Murderer
I feel everyone and their Mother has watched this! I will admit I did get a little bored half way through but I persevered and I'm so glad I did.

What are you currently watching on Netflix?

Primark's P.S. Lip Liners | Review

P.S. Lip Liner - £1 each

A few months ago I ventured into the world of Primark beauty for the first time in years. I remember a good few years ago they used to have a range of beauty products but they were pretty awful, however now they've really improved. I've previously written a review on the Brush Cleanser which you can read here, but it's safe to say I'm really enjoying the products from the P.S. range that I've tried.

The lip liners don't have any names or shades (at least I can't find any) so that's the only downside I really have to them as it's a little annoying. They're a bargain at £1 each and in my local Primark there's about 6 different shades.

The liners aren't too drying, and they have good lasting power too which in all honesty, shocked me considering the price. The two shades I have are nude shades and I sometimes wear them alone, or sometimes I apply a lipstick as well and I love the results either way.

Overall I'm really impressed with these liners and I recommend you check them out when you're next in Primark because I think you'll be pleasantly surprised!

Have you ever tried any of Primark's beauty range?

A Little Update

Hello! So I've not posted in a couple of weeks and I'm pretty sure that's the longest I've gone in a few years without posting. I've been super busy recently, hence the lack of posts so I do apologise but now I've settled back into uni again and handed in my first assignment of 2016 I'm hoping to get back on track.
I had planned to write a 'what I got for Christmas post', even took the photos and edited them but I never actually got round to writing it and now I feel it's too late ha!
It's my birthday in 2 weeks and I'll be turning 21, which is insane because I always thought 21 was old and now I still don't feel anywhere near 'adult'!

I've got my day planned for writing posts and editing photos and I'm actually super excited to get back into blogging after my unintentional break!

I hope you're all having a wonderful start to 2016 so far.
