Ruby Tuesday | Max Factor Review

Until fairly recently I was 'afraid' of red lipstick if you will, I just didn't think it would suit me. However, since trying a few I have found that I can wear it and feel confident so today I'm sharing with you my current favourite red lippy.

The packaging is sleek but is still pleasing to the eyes, and I love lipsticks that show you what shade is in the tube (I hope I'm not the only one?!) as it makes it easier when I'm looking through my collection. I was surprised at how moisturising this lipstick is as I've not previously tried lipsticks from Max Factor.

I would describe this shade as a true red that I think would suit everyone as it's so flattering. If you've been watching OITNB this is the kind of shade I can imagine Red wearing on a daily basis. I am so impressed with the staying power of this lipstick as well. I wore it on a night out and only re-applied it a maximum of twice which is amazing for a night out!

Before I apply the lipstick I simply apply my Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lip Liner in Red Dynamite first and apply Ruby Tuesday straight from the bullet and I'm good to go.

I really do urge you to try this lipstick if you're on the hunt for the perfect true red lipstick as I am becoming obsessed with it!

What's your go to red lipstick?

Small Topshop Beauty Haul

 Molten Eyeliner - £1 // Sheer Lip Applause - £3

I popped into Topshop the other day with my friends with no intention of buying anything but then...I saw reduced makeup and I couldn't resist. I love all the bits from the Topshop beauty range I've tried previously so I was fairly certain I would also like these.

When I first picked this up I wasn't sure if I'd wear it as the shade is a little out of my comfort zone, but as the name suggest it is a sheer lipstick so I love it. It can be worn in the day time or evening and is so moisturising which is always a bonus.
Sadly I cannot find the link for this eyeliner online anywhere, but if you like the look of it I'm sure it's still in your local store. I picked it up since blue eyeliner is on trend this summer and since it was only £1 if I didn't like it, it won't break the bank. This liner has amazing staying power, I tried to remove it with a wipe, I then showered and eventually it came off with some Garnier Micellar Water! I am so impressed with this, and although I only wear it on my lower lash line it adds a little pop of colour.

The swatches above show how beautiful both the sheer lipstick and the eyeliner are. I'm so glad I picked them both up and I only spent a total of £4 which I think is a bargain.

Have you tried any of the Topshop makeup range? If so, what do you recommend?

Where I've Been & Update

Some of you may have noticed (or not as the case may be) that I've not been posting as much recently but I've been super busy so I'm sorry for that! I'm currently sat editing photos and writing up blog posts for the coming week as I'll also be busy that week.

A few things have happened recently so I thought I'd give you a little update.

I've joined slimming world this week | I don't need to lose weight for health reasons or anything of the sort, I just want to be more comfortable in myself. So far, I'm not doing great as I'm trying to get used to it, but I'm excited to see the results.

I've moving into a new uni house | At the beginning of July I'm moving uni house, I'll still be living with the same people (and I couldn't ask for better housemates) but we're moving to a nicer house and I'm excited.

I've finally found some jeans that FIT | Okay, this one may sound silly but I'm pear shaped and really struggle to find jeans that fit, but at last I have some! I'll be making a blog post about them soon, incase any of you lovely lot are also pear shaped and struggle with finding jeans that fit properly.

I have a job again | Coming home from uni and trying to find a job has been difficult, especially as I can't drive. However, I have a few shifts at the same place I used to work at since I was 16 and it's nice to be earning some money again.

So, there's my little update and look out for the upcoming blogposts in the coming weeks!

Wilko Kiss Face Primer | Review

I picked this primer up on a bit of whim last week and I am so pleasantly surprised. I was wandering through Wilko's beauty aisle and this primer caught my eye as it was so cheap at only £3 and I'm a primer addict so I bought it. I apply this all over my face and it does leave me with a silky smooth base for my makeup as the packaging suggests. However, I will say I don't think it did me any favours in terms of 'light reflecting' but this I don't mind so much.

The primer packaging itself is pretty cute and simple and a tube which is my favourite kind of packaging because I really can get the most out of the product. The consistency is perfect for me as it's not too thick, but it's also not too watery as long as you shake it well before use. The primer has no scent as well which I really like as my skin can be really quite sensitive sometimes.

I used this when the weather was super hot (for England anyway) and it really did stop my makeup from sliding off my face as quickly. I am honestly so impressed with this primer and I love it so much I went back to Wilko and bought 2 more as back up!

Have you ever tried anything from the Kiss range from wilko? I'm interested in trying the Clay Mask from the Kiss range.

52 Weeks Project | Week 25

25/52
How amazing does this burger look?! It was delicious too!

I'm sorry this post is a little late this week but I've been away at my best friends all weekend for her birthday and I've only just got back! This week has been pretty chilled to be honest, I've just been planning blogposts and trying to organise the next few weeks.

I went to Bath for my friends birthday and had such a fab time, although I spent all of Saturday nursing a hangover and only felt human again at about 7pm. Note to future self: don't mix spirits, it only ends badly (and always drink responsibly!!). I'm all snuggled up in bed and about to continue watching Season 3 of Orange Is The New Black - who else is watching it?!

How has your weekend been? I'd love to know what you've been up to, so let me know!

My Holiday Snaps | 001

As most of you know I went on holiday to Dorset with my parents last week and I thought I'd share some of my favourite photos with you all. Don't worry I'm not posting hundreds, just a small handful as I really love photography and I'm impressed with some of my photos if I do say so myself!

Bournemouth hot air balloon

The Cath Kidston beach huts on Bouremouth beach are beautiful

Have you been on holiday this year? Or if not, where would you like to go?

Real Techniques Sculpting Set | Review

You may remember that a few weeks so I posted a haul where I had purchased the Real Techniques Sculpting Set which I was so excited about as I picked it up for  £13.99 which was a bargain! I've been using them since I bought them and I am so impressed

Sculpting Brush
This is the brush that I was most excited about trying as I thought it would be perfect for contouring, and it is. It's really dense and fits perfectly in the hollows of my cheeks and picks up the product really well, which sounds silly as that's what it's meant to do but we've all tried those brushes that are useless before!
I have been using this instead of my contouring brush from the Core Collection when I want a more heavy contoured look and I don't know how I'd do my makeup without it now. It's definitely become a staple in my makeup routine.
Fan Brush
I've only ever tried one fan brush in the past and I wasn't overly keen on them, but that's all changed as the quality of this brush is amazing. I use it to apply my highlighter and it just adds the finishing touch to my makeup.

Setting Brush
Surprisingly I don't own any brushes like this, but I love it. I use it for setting my powder under my eyes as it fits perfectly in the under eye area and like all the other brushes is super soft.

Overall I love this set and I really do recommend it to everyone who is on the fence about buying it. It is well worth the £19.99 as the quality is brilliant and I know these brushes will last me as they're so well made.

Have you tried this set or will you be picking it up soon?

52 Weeks Project | Week 24

24/52

I'm slightly late with this post and I do apologise, but I was on holiday last week. I went away to Dorset for the week with my parents and I had a fantastic time. I took 1500 photos in one week which I realise is slightly excessive but I just like taking photos! I'll be sharing some with you in the next week but for now I've chosen the photo above which I love.
It's the hot air balloon in Bournemouth which you can take a ride on (weather permitting) and although I didn't do that myself, it looks amazing.

How was your week? I'd love to know what you've been up to.

My Everyday Jewellery | ft. Essential Jewellers & Pandora

You may remember this post from a while ago in which I was sharing with you my two new rings. Well today, I'm sharing with you my everyday jewellery. I personally think I only suit silver jewellery, and Essential Jewellers has quickly become one of my favourite stores for jewellery.

Pandora bracelet - £55 (& various charms)

I love all my jewellery and I don't feel quite complete without it. I would really recommend browsing the Essential Jewellers website as they stock so many beautiful products that are super affordable and amazing quality. Their rings are available in standard ring sizes which makes shopping even easier, and you know that the rings will fit you.

Side Note | I'd just like to add that I am not being sponsored or compensated in any way by Essential Jewellers for this post, I have purchased all rings myself and I genuinely do love their products.

Is there any specific jewellery that you wear everyday?

My Lipstick Storage | Cheap Muji Dupe

A few weeks ago I shared with you how I store my eyeliners, so today I thought imy lip I'd share with you how I store my lip products. This features a Muji dupe that only cost under £3!

I've been using this clear acrylic lipstick organiser for almost a year now and I have just forgotten to blog about it. The best bit about this organiser is that it only costs £2.12 (and free p&p) and I can't fault it at all. It holds 24 lipsticks and I choose to store some of my favourites in this way as I can access them more easily.

However, I do have more lipsticks and I store this in (an unorganised) drawer in my storage tower. I find this way I can swap and change the lipsticks in my clear acrylic organiser and still be able to grab my other lipsticks.

How do you store your lipsticks?

An Afternoon Out | Salcey Forest

At the beginning of last week me and my friend went for a walk around Salcey Forest which is beautiful. There's miles and miles of trees, quiet and fresh air which is what is needed sometimes. We can sometimes get really caught up in our day to day stressors in life, so visiting somewhere like this is really refreshing and I love it. I'm so grateful I live near such a beautiful area.

How do you like to relax?
